The road to Plovdiv
Motorway from end to end, about an hour and forty-five minutes. This is the easiest route we run — flat, straight, and exactly as quick in January as in July, with no mountain sections and no winter surprises.
We take you to any address: a hotel in the centre, an apartment in Kapana, a house out in Trakia. You do not need to work out in advance which part of the city you are going to.
There is a bus, and for two people travelling light it is cheaper. For four or more it usually is not, and the bus does not take you to your door.
Luggage and child seats
The luggage space takes a full van’s worth of suitcases. Child seats for every age — say how many you need and the form shows how many are included.
About Plovdiv
Plovdiv is among the oldest continuously inhabited cities in Europe — older than Rome or Athens. The Roman theatre is still used for performances, and the Old Town, with its merchants’ houses from the national revival, is ten minutes’ walk from it. Kapana, the old craftsmen’s quarter, is where the city eats and drinks in the evening.
